1 Your deeds free

Up to 6 of your own deeds from this year, in a few words each. Only yours - not anyone else's. Size sets the count: small 1, medium 2, big 3 coins (kind) or coal (naughty).

3 Ask for the written ledger

One run writes a fair, blameless line for every deed, a way to make good each one that still carries coal, what went well and the deed to mend first. The page re-checks the reply against its own count.

How the coins, coal and verdict are decided

A kind deed earns 1, 2 or 3 coins for small, medium or big. A naughty deed earns 1, 2 or 3 coal the same way - unless it has been made good: made good clears its coal, partly keeps half of it, rounded up.

Then a fixed rule, in order: no coal left - a gold coin; more coal than coins - a lump of coal; otherwise, including coins and coal level - an orange and nuts. The deed to mend first is the one with the most coal still on it; on a tie, the earliest on your list. What went well is about your biggest kind deed, again the earliest on a tie.

For fun, in the spirit of an old Alpine December tale. It knows only the words you write and judges actions, never you. If something on your mind is serious - someone hurt, or you are struggling - talk to someone you trust or a professional. Not professional advice.
